... So why throw it away?? My darling girlfriends we can make mistakes many times over, but the real failure is when we begin to blame circumstances other than ourselves.
It’s so easy to say, "I got lost" when what we should really be saying is, "I lost it". And my darling girlfriends, recently, I just stinkin’ lost it. I could tell you that I misinterpreted a smile. I could tell you that kissing brought me so physically close that I was tricked into not seeing anything wrong with what was directly in front of me. I could make any number of excuses, but the truth is I was weak because of my own choices.
I do believe that everything happens for a reason... I do believe in fate... but I also believe that we have the power to influence our path in life. The hand you are dealt is determinism, but the way you play that hand is by your own free will. So even if fate has already decided that I am going to lose, you can bet I’m still going to give fate a good fight along the way.
My recent failure was not so much my falling down, it was the decision I made to stay down, and now... now I am one hundred percent responsible for fixing my own err. Bad men excuse their faults; good men abandon them. Girls, just be... lovely... you'll be one of a few.
