My darling girlfriends, I have been keeping secrets... and now it's time to share... I have told you a little bit here and there about my training and teaching within the Fang Shen Do system, a Mixed Martial Art based on Kung Fu that incorporates elements of Kickboxing and Judo. 

I first became involved in FSD in 2011, training 6 to 8 hours a week as part of a healing process, and I quickly discovered there was no place quite like it.  I started assisting with the Junior classes, just because I love kids; and after some time, I started leading the Adult Cardio Combat & Conditioning Classes.  I then became even more involved with the system by attending Seminars, Events and an Annual Training Camp to learn directly under our Mentors. 

I had no idea the doors this would open...

As of January 2013, my Sifu and I went into Partnership and we now own our Toronto based Fang Shen Do school.  That's right. I own an MMA school... I am officially the coolest chic you know :P

 ... And if that's not enough exciting news, there's more!! I also started a new job. It's with the same company I previously worked for, but a completely different facility, as I am now working within Project Planning for our Bio-Clinical Division. Very interesting stuff!! Yes, I'm kind of a science nerd.
